Working Hard by Shoegal_icons
Do I stick with this current job even though it isn't a fit? Do I just wait it out till I can move to Oregon? Do I need to find some perfect job now or should I just wait until I figure out what that might be? I hate looking for work & I can do this job, but it just isn't me. Shoot.

And the beat goes on...

Hey look, it's me & my honey!

Poor thing.  She got 4 teeth taken out over a week ago & she still is in major pain.  And she has to stand all day at work.

On the good side, I got a job.  I will be an assistant property manager.  I hope it's a good opportunity.  I start next week.  This is my last week of sleeping in & doing a bunch of nothing, which I love I might add.

And I'm going to end this on a doggy note.

Look at those sexy legs :oD

Who are you voting for in the primaries if you don't mind my asking?

Personally I'm still going with Kucinich. I love the man, what can I say. But whomever wins the primaries in the democratic party I will of course vote for.

Just watched "Life After People" on the History channel?  LOVED IT!!!!  After enough time there's hardly any evidence we were even here.
Anyone else get excited over the thought that maybe one day we will go back to those pre-massive civilization times?

Anyone been in Black & Blue Tattoo lately? I'm curious if they sell shirts anymore. My boifriend has a shirt from there that is basically a series of threads at this point & she won't get rid of it until she gets a new one.  ARGH!!! =oD

It's a long one.

So I believe that I am in a funk because I just don't know what to do with my life.  I have never known what to do with my life.  I totally envy those people that are passionate about something.  They know what they wanna devote their whole selves to & that's that.  I think that would be the best thing ever.

My career goals have changed daily since forever.  You name it I've wanted to be it.  Some things I have attempted to go for but most I think about, research & get overwhelmed.  So I remain unhappy about my work life.  I go from office job to office job, sometimes starting out happy, but always ending up ultimately unfulfilled.  And now I am unemployed altogether.

I think it all comes down to fear.  Fear of success?  Fear or failure?  I don't know.  I think, I have no talent, I'm lazy, I'm not smart enough, I'm not determined enough, if I can't be the best at something then why bother.  I have too many negative thoughts about myself.

Anyway, I'm reading this book right now & I am hoping it helps, "I Could Do Anything: If I Only Knew What It Was".  One of the things it says is, "action is absolutely essential for people who don't know what they want."  So true, cause instead of me attempting things, I sit here getting more bummed everyday cause I'm not working toward something.  "Action will raise your self-esteem better than affirmations.  Telling yourself that you're a good person doesn't work for long."

I need to find my passion, something that makes me wanna wake up in the morning & when I go to sleep I can't wait to do it again the next day.  That to me is sucess.

I'm depressed. The weekend is almost over & I get to have another week of looking for a job & feeling like a loser. Plus Lu left today for SF & I miss her. She'll be back tomorrow but I still have to sleep by myself tonight :(

Me & Lu went out last night to a loud bar for a gathering. Having a couple of drinks and dancing is fun but I don't know, neither one of us is into the loud party scene anymore. It would be nice to hang out with folks, but next time hopefully it will be in a quieter setting so we can get to know people.

Blah....maybe watching some tv will make me feel better.  So much for writing in this thing everyday & keeping up with everyone else's lj.  I suck.

Good thing today, scheduled 2 interviews for tomorrow.
Bad thing today, found the Medium Black Kitten dead on my porch.
Good thing today, had mashed potatoes, stuffing & tofurkey for dinner.
Bad thing today, paid $90 for the plumber to find a penny in my garbage disposal.
Good thing today, got to spend time with baby Joceyln.
Bad thing today, sweet, innocent kitty found dead on my porch.

Depressed, the interviews are stressing me out & I feel horrible about the kitty.  *le sigh*

Goal - Write something everyday to keep a journal of this year.

I bet you are all wondering what Gen's best friend's baby looks like.  Ok, maybe not =oP  But I am very excited about it, she was JUST born.  Her name is Jocelyn & she is the cutest thing ever & I'm madly in-love.  I could just stare at her like tv.

Who's a dork?  ME!!!!!

I got to go to a Kwik-E-Mart today.
There are 11 around the country & 1 is near me in Burbank.

I picked up a Blue Woo Hoo! Vanilla Squishee, 3 Buzz Colas, a sprinklicious pink donut, KrusteeO's Cereal & a Radioactive Man Comic Book.

The place was packed.  There was a line to get in, a line to get squishees, a line to pay.  The employees all had Kwik-E-Mart shirts on.  People were taking pictures like crazy.

Bart had graffitied on the side of the building.  Characters were inside "shopping" or "walking" out of the store.  It was awesome!  There needs to be more Simpson themed things.....like an amusement park!!!!

Some people go crazy for a celebrity or a clothing label or a band.  I go crazy for a cartoon family.  I am such a nerd.

Watched Apocalypto twice this weekend, once with a friend & once with my mom. I think it should win best picture, director, actors, cinematography, etc.  Amazing.   Was it bloody?  Well ya, but that's what it was like back then apparently.  Frikin brilliant.

Watched Dreamgirls a bit ago too. Jennifer Hudson was amazing & I gotta buy the soundtrack.  Was it awesome, no, but like I said, the music was great.

Also watched The Godfather movies. I'd never seen them before. Wow. First was the best. Second came pretty close. And the third was one of the worst movies I've ever seen (what were they thinking?!?!). But that Pacino was quite the hotty when he was younger. And Brando, what an actor.

I guess I'm in a movie phase.

Cheesy Futuristic Movies

I have been so flippin busy!!! I can't decide if I like it or not. On the one hand it's nice to have so much to do. But on the other hand I do like my zoning in front of the tv with BooBoo.

However I have been trying to read everyone's journals. Just haven't really been able to post much.

Now for a silly question. Can you think of any other movies in the sci.fi./futuristic genre that I haven't listed below?

Logan's Run
Soylent Green
Westworld
The Omega Man
Rollerball
Planet of the Apes
Mad Max
Escape From NY/LA
Heavy Metal
Starship Troopers
Total Recall
The Running Man
Barbarella
Death Race 2000
RoboCop
The City of Lost Children

Thank you :)

It's funny cause it's true.
